![]() Here is a simple reference list of the EXP you need to get in order to reach a specific level. Rank 20 - Rush Gauge increases during Rush Mode Rank 1 - Increased critical hit chance during Rush Mode Rank 20 - "No Guard" status while Blindside charging) ![]() Rank 17 - Freeze nearby enemies when Blindsiding Rank 13 - Blindside charging enabled while attacking Rank 9 - Double Blindsides enabled (avoids counters) Rank 5 - Chain Combo entry during Blindsides Rank 1 - Increased damage to Blindsided enemies Stats growth after each level: ATK +5, INT +5, HIT +4. Max level for BEAT S and BEAT B is level 20 BEAT N doesn't level up, since it automatically receives the bonus Stats from your BEAT S and BEAT B (so the higher these two are, the better the Stats of BEAT N). In particular, you get +1 "BEAT EXP" on the current BEAT set after each battle won this applies to all the characters that are on the battlefield at the end of the fight. So it's not just a defensive BEAT, because in the long run it's BEAT B that deals much more damage.īEAT N is the worst of the three: you can have some doubts deciding whether a bonus on Blindsides is better than a bonus on Rush Mode, but there's no discussion that can back up a BEAT with no bonuses at all such as BEAT N.īEATs can rank-up by means of a hidden "experience points" value. On the contrary, BEAT B offers great bonuses in Rush Mode, which become more and more important (especially the increased Critical Hit rate during Rush Mode) as you progress through the game, without also mentioning the excellent HP +20% bonus at BEAT B level 20. It's only partially true that BEAT S helps boost the offense because it increases the ATK by some points at the beginning of the game, but other than this small initial advantage it's not any better than BEAT B. The game explains that BEAT S is more offensive, while BEAT B is more defensive, but this is not correct. BEAT N (Neutral): gives the ATK, INT, HIT bonuses of BEAT S and the HP, DEF, GRD bonuses of BEAT B at once, but it doesn't improve anything other than these Stats. ![]() BEAT B (Burst): gives HP, DEF, GRD bonuses and improves the performance with Rush Mode. BEAT S (Strike): gives ATK, INT, HIT bonuses and improves the performance with Blindsides. The BEAT is the " Battle Enhancement Attribute Type", and this definition says just what it is: the BEAT determines the additional bonuses that a character has. And a certain characters healing makes you pretty much immortal. The characters grow on two parallel binaries: the "classic" level up and the BEAT level up. Also, the balance is horrendous and some characters do sooooo much more damage than others it's actually pretty crazy (you got ansolid 2-3 Marias in 2). I actually enjoy how breakable Tri-ace makes their games, but 2 very quickly just becomes a total spamathon in bad way. It has the best characters and story, but it's even more broken than 3 at an earlier point with a little know-how. Now, using the absurd sliding attack from Bacchus kind of makes that irrelevant if you know how to use it, but that's actually a lot worse than "sidekick sidekick sidekick" which is also a lot less optimal than what you could be doing. It's also actually a lot less tedious than the steal farming you have to do in 4 and is useful at all points in the game, not just the end.Ĥ is pretty boring for a long time because you doing have the resources to actually use moves for quite a long time. You can do a hellllll of a lot more with SO3's crafting and it's not even funny. There's a lot of terrible in this post, but in think I'll highlight the item creation bit.
